Work Experience
The residents in Victoria House are able to gain work experience which is a valuable opportunity to integrate into the wider community. These work experiences help our residents to develop a greater sense of self esteem and self image.
One of the work experiences is in our local recycling centre within the village.
The Vicarage
We also have a very strong connection to the local Anglican Church and are able to gain work experience in the extensive vicarage gardens. Here our residents are able to contribute to the well being of the wider community from which they also gain great personal satisfaction. There are many projects in the grounds ,such as dry stone walling, building ponds, weeding, planting trees, growing vegetables, and recently we have built a Celtic roundhouse.
