Yesterday, 1st March, we celebrated St David’s Day in Coleg Elidyr.
For the day, we celebrated Wales and also the concept of equality and diversity. In the morning, everybody worked together to cook a large community meal which was inspired by many different regions; each residential house taking on a different country.
Decorations inspired by the countries, and information about the countries, was gathered together with the food as we shared it in the Hall
After eating, there were a variety of activities based on Wales; we also celebrated the red welsh dragon. We dramatised the story of the dragon and the saxon white dragon, to share the origin of this legend.
